When writing and producing "To The R" I wanted to make a song where I could rap freely and have a bit of fun. 

 

I was listening to JME "If You Don’t Know" and I was inspired straight away and began to make something similar in my own style.

I shouted out some DJs I was inspired by for example Dj Logan and Dj Max. 

 

The song is basically about me becoming successful and looking back on all the people that doubted me. Lyrics like “I told her I’d make it she said that’s cap, I’ll make a new era she said that’s cap, I showed her a track and she said that’s crap but my dj wheeled me up that’s a jack.”

The success / fame energy is also brought to life in the introduction of song with the camera flashing and the screaming vocals. I imagined myself getting out of a limousine and stepping on the red carpet. 

 

This song was just me expressing myself in a unique way and rapping for as long as I could.
